NURA is a cultural platform for artist development. We provide development opportunities and back artists across East Africa and the UK.

We come from this music. Thirty years in Jungle and Drum and Bass sit behind us, with the pioneers who shaped the sound alongside us.

We work with the initiatives already building here, bringing infrastructure and leadership development so the scene is led from the inside. This is cross-cultural by design. Artists learn from each other, share stages and studios, and carry it home.

Season 1 · Artist Development Camp

The first NURA camp brought Kenyan producers, DJs and vocalists together with Jungle and DnB pioneers Fabio and Grooverider, DJ Krust and Darren Jay for a week of making, mentoring and performing.

Artists built new tracks, learned from the people who shaped the sound, and formed collaborations that carried on past the camp. This was the proof. The talent is here, and it moves fast when the support is in place.

East Africa's first Jungle D&B Festival.

NURAFEST exceeded all expectations, drawing 500 revellers in low season, the largest event of its kind on the coast. UK pioneers shared the stage with the Kenyan artists coming through, jungle connected back to its roots, and a scene that lives between festivals had a place to gather. Watch the film.
